About Our Home

Parker House Nursing Home aims to provide its care home family with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.

Parker House is a small 25-bedded home which encourages positive approaches to caring for people with physical and mental health needs over the age of eighteen and people with dementia. We emphasise the importance of seeing each elderly person as an individual and as a ‘whole person’ with psychological,

social, emotional and physical needs. Individual care plans are developed with a person centred approach and necessary adaptations are made with this in mind.

Carers strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all members of our care home family, within a warm and caring environment and, in so doing, will be sensitive to their ever-changing needs. Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, social and emotional.

Each member of our care home family is encouraged to participate in the development of their personalized Care Plans in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued.
